This piece will introduce the student to many compositional techniques, vocabulary, and formal structures common to more advanced repertoire, yet in a smaller and more manageable context and within manageable technical demands. Also introduces the use of crossing of hands, octave melodies in both hands, and different dynamics in each hand at the same time.
