For our forthcoming concert in September we will be joined by a trombone friend of ours. I was going to write this as a trombone solo (and still might for posting on Sibelius) but I thought that I would write it for my instrument, the french horn, just for a change. My Mothers keeps saying I should have more solo’s. So here’s one that i will play at the concert.
The tune/song was written by American song writer Stephen Foster in 1854 and still just as tuneful and fresh today.
If the french horn is not your thing but you like the piece then give me a shout and I can switch the parts so that the solo is played by the brass instrument of your choice.
Still waiting for a review of one of my pieces. Would be great if you could help out on that front. But be nice as I’m only a part time arranger.
