LYRICS
Serban Nichifor : INVOCATIO pour saxophone alto. Composée en 2001, l'œuvre est dédiée au virtuose néerlandais Hans De Jong, professeur de saxophone au Conservatoire d'Anvers (Belgique), qui l'a interprétée en première audition le 24 mai 2003 au Musée George Enescu de Bucarest, dans le cadre de le Festival International Nuova Musică Consonante - Living Music Foundation (USA). La musique est basée sur un motif tragique utilisé par l'auteur dans l'opera "Le Martyre de Saint Claude Debussy" (1999) - motif composé des sons A - G# - G - D# - F# - G# qui définissent un mode tétracorde chromatique avec la configuration d'intervalle ascendant 3-1-1. La macrostructure de la pièce est bipartite composée : A (a' - mesures 1-18 ; a" - mesures 19-34) ; B (b' - mesures 35-44 ; b" - mesures 45-59 ; coda - mesures 60 -65) . Le nombre d'or (Sectio aurea) est en B - b' (mesures 35-44) et a un sens implosif, cohérent avec le sens tragique de l'œuvre.
